QC Inspection, Quantity Assurance and Quantity Survey

QC Inspection, Quantity Assurance and Quantity Survey

We provide services for inspecting the quality and quantity of work to ensure it conforms to the contract specifications upon handover, and for calculating construction quantities for inspection and bidding purposes.

QC Inspection, Quantity Assurance and Quantity Survey

Quality inspection for project handover is a critical phase in the construction process. This involves verifying the quality of work (QC) for each specific period to ensure that all tasks meet engineering standards and professional craftsmanship.

In practice, QC Inspection is performed in conjunction with Quantity Surveying (Quality Assurance) to ensure that the project is complete in both excellence and volume.

Our inspection services for project acceptance are categorized into two primary types:

  1. QC Inspection for Progress Payment: Routine inspection of work quality and volume to verify and approve periodic payment cycles.

  1. QC Inspection for Final Handover: A comprehensive final inspection to ensure all quality standards are met before the official delivery of the project to the client.

Quality assurance (QA) is the process of verifying the quantity of work and materials performed by the contractor to ensure that the work and materials used match the specifications in the contract. This is used to confirm payments and issue payment certificates.

Quantity surveying (QS) is the process of capturing the types of work, the quantity of materials, and labor costs.

And the various operating costs of construction, including all building systems, are included to determine the total construction cost.

For buildings or factories, the estimated price may be subject to discrepancies due to engineering safety margins and varying pricing methods used by different contractors, unless the official price list from the Comptroller General's Department is used as the primary reference for recording the cost.

Who is this service suitable for?

  • Project owners preparing to tender a project need to know the true "average price" in order to compare and negotiate with contractors and avoid being taken advantage of.

  • Employers seeking transparency in payments: They want an independent third party to verify the actual work completed on-site before approving payment installments, to prevent overpayment for the actual work done.

  • Projects requiring precise cost control: Need to know the true cost of materials and labor to manage the project's cash flow effectively.
